Haggin Oaks Golf Course, is a Public, 36 hole golf facility located in Sacramento, California. The facility has two 18-hole golf courses. They are The Alister Mackenzie Course and The Arcade Creek Course.
The Haggin Oaks Golf Complex intentionally offers two distinct layouts (Arcade Creek, the developmental course and the showcase, MacKenzie Golf Course) to appeal to different skill levels.
Arcade Creek Golf Course is a relatively flat. The front nine was opened to the public in 1952 with the back nine opening two years later in 1954. The course can still be played as either a nine-hole track or 18-hole regulation round which makes it convenient for beginners, walkers and leagues.
Arcade Creek runs through the course, but rarely is much of an obstacle. The intention of Arcade Creek Golf Course is to ease beginners into the game by making all of the greens large and accessible even for high handicap golfers.
As with the MacKenzie course, the Arcade Creek course benefits from mature heritage oaks along the fairways.
If you're looking for more challenge, the MacKenzie course may be for you. But if you're looking to work on your game, or you're in the process of developing your swing, or you're brand new to the game and want to take your lessons to the course, Arcade Creek is the course for you.

I play these nines once a week or more, live near by. The greens are getting back into shape after the damage done last fall.

Solid public course for the value.

Great value - I had not played this course in about 2 years and was very impressed with the condition and price. Greens were in great shape. Great value for the area.

My comments would be to quit watering so much. The fairways like playing in the winter, soggy. Everything else is great!
